Will Your RV Survive A Zombie Invasion?

October 24, 2012 by JJ in Famous Rvs, Videos with 4 Comments

It doesn’t need to be fast, it just needs to run. Surviving humans with any luck, will have a working RV, a virtual bunker on wheels with self contained amenities for survival. Undoubtedly the automobile of choice for dodging flesh eating zombies in the post apocalyptic days.

In AMC’s The Walking Dead, Dale’s RV, a 1977 Winnebago Chieftain is a central character for the first two bloody seasons. The iconic Winnie serves as a look out, a supply carrier, an infirmary, a resting spot, and a chase vehicle, all while in various states of disrepair.

Get a tour inside this classic 1977 Winnebago Chieftain from Dale himself, Jeffrey DeMunn.

[SPOILER ALERT] Dale’s Winnebago meets its final flaming demise in “Beside The Dying Fire.”

What did Dale’s RV need to survive another season? Possibily a little help from the Urban Assault Vehicle from the movie Stripes? Built in guns, armored sides, and perhaps Bill Murray? Now ask yourself, will my RV survive a zombie invasion?

I am working on getting my family’s 1946 Ford 69-b Bus RV conversion back on the road. Perfect vehicle for a zombie invasion. IT’s Galvanized STEEL! Just need a new motor (going diesel) and some new tires.
