The Inside of John Steinbeck's Trailer from Travels With Charlie

In 1960 John Steinbeck drove around the U.S. documenting his travels with his dog, Charlie. He wrote the book, “Travels with Charlie” based on this trip. Check out this quote; “When we get these thruways across the whole country… it will be possible to drive from New York to California without seeing a single thing.” – John Steinbeck

You can see the inside of his trailer pictured here at the John Steinbeck Museum in Salinas, California.
