“The Motorcycle Diaries” is based on the memoirs of Ernesto Che Guevara, leader of the Cuban Revolution, and the life changing road trip he took with his best friend, Alberto Granado.
His story gives you a gimps into the land, its inhabitants, and South American politics of 1952. In addition to this bit of history, it also explores the romantic geography of Buenos Aires, the Andes, the coast of Chile, the Atacama Desert, the Peruvian Amazon and Venezuela.
It will no doubt inspire you to see South America and maybe even embark on a motor expedition of your own.
